The Ramcharitmanas Chanting And Akhand Jyoti Have Been Continuously Ongoing Since 25 December 2018, While The Akhand Sitaram Naam Chanting Has Been Ongoing Since 25 December 2020 At Shri Ramayan Mandir, Jehanabad, Bihar, India. A Total Of 62 Individuals Are Participating In This Devotional Activity By Performing In Scheduled Shifts To Ensure Continuity, And They Have Set A Record For The Worldwide Book Of Records.
A Journey of Devotion that Made History
The world record for the Longest Continuous Ramcharitmanas Chanting, Akhand Sitaram Naam Chanting, and Akhand Jyoti Lighting at One Place was achieved by Rakesh Kumar (RAMANUJAM Trust) along with a dedicated group of 62 people on 16 July 2025 in Jehanabad, Bihar, India.
The spiritual journey began on 25 December 2018, when the continuous recitation of the Ramcharitmanas and the eternal flame of the Akhand Jyoti were lit at Shri Ramayan Mandir, Jehanabad. Later, on 25 December 2020, the Akhand chanting of “Sitaram” was added to this stream of devotion.
For years, devotees have taken turns in scheduled shifts, ensuring that the chants never stop and the Jyoti never fades. Their unwavering faith and discipline have created not only a spiritual milestone but also a historical achievement, earning them a place in the Worldwide Book of Records.
