Worldwide Book of Records™ (WBR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and credibility in the record-setting and verification process. This Code of Ethics outlines the values and principles that guide our operations, and our Verification Policy ensures that every record is genuine, measurable, and independently assessed.
Our Ethical Commitments
-
Honesty & Accuracy
We require all applicants to provide truthful and accurate information during the record application and submission process. -
Fairness & Equal Opportunity
All record applications are treated equally, regardless of nationality, age, gender, religion, or background. -
Respect for Safety & Legality
Record attempts must not violate any laws or pose harm to individuals, animals, or the environment. We do not support dangerous or unethical records. -
No Affiliation Bias
WBR is an independent organization. We are not affiliated with any other entity. We verify records on our merit. -
Zero Tolerance for Fraud
Any attempt to mislead, forge documents, manipulate evidence, or falsely claim a record will lead to permanent disqualification and public revocation of the record.
Verification Policy
To ensure fairness and transparency, the following procedures are followed for every record claim:
1. Application Review
-
Every submission is reviewed by our Records Management Team.
-
New title suggestions are checked against our core criteria: measurable, breakable, standardizable, verifiable, and globally relevant.
2. Guidelines Issuance
-
If the record is accepted, we issue official Record Guidelines and an Evidence Checklist.
3. Evidence Submission
Applicants must submit:
-
High-quality videos and photos
-
Witness statements (if required)
-
Expert verification (for technical records)
-
Any additional documents as specified in the guidelines
4. Independent Assessment
-
All submissions are reviewed by Category Specialists and Evidence Officers.
-
Some records may involve consultation with external experts to ensure accuracy and fairness.
5. Final Decision
-
If the record meets all requirements, it is approved, and a Worldwide Book of Records™ Certificate is issued.
-
If not, applicants are notified of the rejection with reasons and may reapply.
Anti-Fraud Measures
We actively monitor and take action against:
-
Fabricated or edited evidence
-
Misuse of our name, logo, or certificate
-
Misleading promotions claiming unauthorized approval
Offenders will be blacklisted permanently, and may face legal action or public disqualification.
