One day, he stumbled upon a collection of old newspaper cuttings that featured cricket players. He was intrigued. He started clipping articles and photos of cricket players and storing them in a scrapbook. But soon, one scrapbook turned into two, then three, then four. Before he knew it, he had collected hundreds of newspaper cuttings featuring cricketers from all over the world.

Over the years, his collection had grown exponentially. Every time a new player made a debut or a record was broken, he would carefully cut out the article and add it to his collection. And on 6 February 2023, after years of hard work and dedication, Dillip Kumar Sahu had finally achieved his dream. He had collected a total number of 3030 newspaper cutting photos of cricket players from 2006 till 6 February 2023, setting a world record for the largest photo collection of cricket players.
